Goodreads Summery: Quench your craving for good fiction with this wonderfully written Old West adventure. Hoping to leave the shadows of her shady yesteryears behind, Adeline Reed is focusing on her photography career. But when her ex-boyfriend’s compatriot in crime shows up in Dodge City her entire past is threatened by exposure. Can Addie keep her secrets while helping to catch a killer? Deputy Miles Carr’s investigation into a shopkeeper’s murder leads him to Addie’s door. Will his attraction to this female photographer keep him from catching the true culprit? Or will Addie lead him off course in more ways than one?

Addie finds herself alone and in jeopardy of losing her portrait studio. Now she must come up with enough money to pay off the mortgage or she will lose everything. Addie does not trust men because the one she had loved was a wolves in lambs clothing. With everything going on she can’t afford to notice a man but the handsome new Deputy catches her eye. Miles has his own past demons but now as a new Deputy he hopes to put his past to bed for good. He soon finds himself escorting Addie to her boarding house at night for safety and also finds himself falling for her. When these two’s past meet head to head will they find true love or will it tear them apart?

I really liked this book! This book has four characters. Addie and Miles are the main ones but there is also Fran who is Addie’s best friend. She is waiting for her knight in shinning armor to come and get her out of Dodge. Jonas is also a deputy and good friends with Miles. He has loved Fran for years but she is stubborn and only sees Jonas as a friend. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star book for me was the fact I felt that Fran and Jonas could have been developed just a little more. I just found this book to be fun and had trouble putting it down. Not only was this a love story with past secrets its also a mystery. The author does a great job of keeping you on the edge of your reading chair with the who done it. I don’t want to go to much into the plot of the story because I don’t want to give away the ending. There is one character that I felt could turn into a sequel book so it will be interesting to see if that happens.  If you like historical, romance and mystery you should read this book!
